STEP INTO A DAY IN THE LIFE
Join Sanya, a second-year Earth & Environmental Science student, for a day in her life as she shares an honest look at studying Earth Sciences at the University of Manchester — from lectures and labs to fieldwork, everyday student life, and a glimpse into her dance society.

"Environmental Science at Manchester has been eye-opening and challenging. Manchester is at the doorstep of nature. The opportunities to explore dynamic environments and processes in real life has always been encouraged. Integrated field trips are a chance to practice what we learn in the classroom and feel like a real Environmental Scientist.
Connecting the theory to the physical impacts makes the course unique from other STEM subjects. By applying all the sciences to the changing world, you feel how intertwined the ecology, climate, and natural processes are. Pushing yourself to learn about the depth of the environment can be intense, but it shows you how constantly evolving it is. To study the planet and feel control over our future, especially with the impending risk of climate change, is empowering."
