ALUMNI'S VOICE
Before pursuing my MSc in Management of Projects at The University of Manchester, I spent over six years in Ethiopia’s construction industry, working my way up from Junior Office Engineer to Senior Project Engineer at Yotek Construction PLC.
During this time, I played a pivotal role in major government academic projects worth over £48 million. My contributions included leading cost-saving initiatives, structural redesigns, and quality audits, all of which enhanced project efficiency and profitability.
Studying at Manchester was a transformative experience that expanded my focus from technical project delivery to a broader understanding of strategic management, stakeholder engagement, and global leadership. The program's practical casework, combined with advanced project management frameworks, helped me refine my skills in managing complex portfolios, developing innovative solutions, and preparing for leadership roles in a global context.
Today, I am in the final stages of establishing Romani Management Consulting PLC, where I plan to leverage the expertise gained from both my industry experience and my degree. As founder and CEO, I aim to guide clients in successfully delivering projects while driving organizational impact. My time at Manchester has been instrumental in providing me with the confidence, knowledge, and global outlook to embark on this exciting next step in my career.
